This came up in one of my 'free or reduced price' newsletters, as most of the items that I get for my Kindle do, and is made up of blog posts. I loved this format because I could read through them all at once, one a day or simply go through and find the one that I 'needed' to read again.I found myself totally in tune with the author and telling myself that she was picking things right out of my head. I'd like to say that this is something *I* wrote, but I can't because it isn't; if I'd sat down and tried to pull everything together that I wanted to share with the world, this would have been it -- including the title, because what *is* life without the best of intentions? And we all know that that leads to ruin/hell, at least when we are feeling down about ourselves and the world around us.
I really enjoyed Ms. Beaky's style of writing. While I think that everything can be discussed diplomatically without foul language, her random colorful words made me feel like I was talking with a friend who wasn't afraid to pull her punches; some times there just isn't a better word or phrase to get something across other than a curse or one of those four letter words.
I am so looking forward to more of this author's work and, since I got this for free, I'll probably buy a copy for someone else so that Ms. Beaky gets financially supported from me in some way.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that the ebook copy format came across as having a lot of white space between paragraphs. Not sure if that is due to the screen rotation I use (I haven't gone to normal to check) but just thought I'd let you know.

I thoroughly enjoyed "All o'the Ways to Hell" it's a very candid observatiton of the author's ups & downs through life. Being male, I usually avoid anything like this, predicting it to be a printed version of a Lifetime movie. I was pleasantly surprised and very glad I read it. It didnt't get bogged down with melodrama or preachiness(for lack of a better word, is it a word?).Guys put this book in your bathroom & read a little here & there. I feel you'll be glad you did. I look forward to hearing more from a talented author.
This is not a book I can just sit and read through. I am about 1/3 of the way. You need time to think about what has been said, particularly if you relate it to your own life. It really makes you think about your own life and where it is going and where you want it to go.
Monica Beaky is very upset....her boyfriends and husband all left her and one took her kids... She sometimes spews venom about this over and over again. If you can stand her venting she sometimes has valuble insights and tips about moving on after tradgedy. I read the whole book so it wasnt bad but I felt like I was reading someones diary.
If you're looking for light and airy, head elsewhere. This is not a book to be read in one sitting. A book like this can only be written by someone who has had lots of life experience and is willing to share it in all its raw emotional detail. The diary format works perfectly, because most of the entries require the reader to pause and reflect upon the author's insight. To anyone who has been through some of the crises the author has, you will immediately relate to the emotions and lessons learned. There is much to glean from this book for both male and female and plenty of lessons to learn for anyone old enough to be in a relationship.
I just LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book. If I was a paid professional critic my comment would be A MUST READ! DEFINITELY A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!! And even though I'm NOT a pro at this, it STILL gets the same rating as if I were! This is for all women who have to put up with a lot of trials and tribulations and still get on with their lives the best way they can AND still wind up being happy in the end. This is NOT about bashing men, it's about the crap that some of us have had to put up with and if you are a man who likes to read and would like to know a little bit more about women, you should read this too! I'm getting one for my daughter and grandaughter... that's how much I love it!

Monica's truthful, day-by-day account of her most inner thoughts and emotions presents the agony far too many former wives experience in their personal lives. Her writings present how she has managed to cope with and rise above an almost unbearable situation.
This is a journal about REAL LIFE...complete with thoughts and feelings, pain and growth, being a mother, marriage and divorce, being abandoned and betrayed, and finding one's self through all of it, and dare I say "love". Yes, in the end it is all about finding love...love of our children, friends, family, and finally of self. And there is always HOPE. It is about finding out who you are and accepting who you have become...a thought provoking process, a journey of the soul and of one woman and how she got there, and how I found myself right there by her side on a daily basis, going through many of the same thoughts and feelings as I maneuver down my own path in this life and trying to find my own way, knowing there is always hope!
Inspirational at times, sad at times, neurotic at times, funny at times, humble at times, hopeful at times, angry at times, brave at times,...and ALWAYS, ALWAYS real, every word! These are real thoughts and real feelings that real women have. The author has found a way to verbalize them and put it out there for all the world to see, unabashed, and in such a way that is truly relate-able. She speaks for many of us who have been through similar situations and I would like to thank the author for being brave enough to truly speak her mind. She is a Phoenix rising from the ashes. Well done, and well written!
