With the help of these wine-savvy ladies, Olivia gets schooled on more than just the wine industry. Stepping out of her comfort zone, she tags along to parties, learns how to play bocce ball, and even experiments with online dating. After a few heinous dates, she has a new appreciation for being single.
Olivia drinks in the many wonderful facets of life in a small town and embraces the culture. As the grapes in the vineyards ripen, her friendships evolve, bolstering her confidence and self-esteem. Finally, she has the strength to take the necessary steps towards a new career.

I love when an author makes reading effortless. I flew through this book! Cortney Roudebush is a talented writer who excels at dialogue and setting the scene (I felt like I was there!). This is the perfect read for anyone who wants to feel like they are on vacation in Napa Valley. It is full of fun, relatable characters whose experiences will make you laugh out loud. I hope Hollywood movie producers get a hold of this gem so I can see it on the Big Screen!
What a delightful read! This being her first novel, author Cortney Roudebush is going somewhere as a writer. I can't wait to read more in this promising series. I highly recommend pouring a glass or two of your favorite wine or bubbles and find a cozy spot to enjoy the story of Olivia and her adventures in wine country. I couldn't put this book down! A must read!
I don't drink alcohol so I thought that it was going to be difficult to connect to this series but boy was I WRONG! The story line is engaging from chapter one (I typically don't get hooked on books until the 3rd chapter or so), the characters are well-developed and most of all I could relate. I really enjoyed Olivia's perspective and journeying through wine country with her and I can't wait until the next book comes out. I think I'll be heading out to Napa and taking the "Where I Want to Be" tour. Page turner!
I simply could not put this book down! A great read, taking you to the majestic wine country in California..... Cortney, the author, literally paints a picture, giving exquisite details throughout the book! The characters are also true to life with today's modern times. I am "hooked," and cannot wait for the next book in the series! Love, love, love it!!!!!
I really loved this book. Read it on the beach in Mexico, and it was the perfect read for a summer vacation. Her voice is fresh and fun; the book moves quickly and had me hooked. Loved the characters and the ending. Ready for the second one in the series.
The main characters really drew me in; I really enjoyed getting to know them. I would have loved to have had friends like these girls in my thirties. They were so supportive of each other and had so much fun together. I had fun along with them!
I learned some wine-related lingo and tasting tips. I live near Napa Valley and look forward to trying some of the wineries mentioned in book! The author does a great job describing the scenery and educating the reader about wine.
A few of Olivia's dates were hilarious and made me laugh out loud! I had no idea online dating could be so challenging, but I was glad Olivia prevailed.
I look forward to learning more about Grace in the sequel!
I came across this book while looking for a book with a Napa setting. This one was a perfect fit. I will be doing a solo trip to Napa soon and wanted to prepare myself. Olivia's journey definitely helped. Her evolution throughout the book is a journey that was perfected with the great descriptions. I often found myself doing Google searches on places she commented on or visited.
There were times I felt she was a bit picky with things, but later understood her reasoning. Now I have to see what else this author has out.
A friend loaned me this book and I ended up with two copies, one gifted to me and one purchased by me, so it was a sign to read this book. My friend kept telling me I had to read it because the similarities between the main character, Olivia, and me were so similar. He was right. While this is a book about Napa Valley wine country culture and living, it's also a book about learning to love yourself and learning to take risks in order to live a passionate, fulfilling life. Like me, Olivia had a passion for wine, but had not yet developed the confidence and self-esteem to pursue her passion until she decided to temporarily move to Napa Valley to take an intensive wine course. The wine course is not the focus of the book, but rather Olivia's growth as a self-confident woman and wine professional. She steps out of her comfort zone many times and takes great risks to achieve her dreams and become a happier person. I am thankful that my friend recommended this book to me, as I have embarked on the same journey and am moving to Napa Valley in less than a week. If you are someone who has been hesitant about following your passion, then this is the book for you.
